Began

We had just returned from the sun-kissed beaches of Gokarna to the historical town of Hampi in Karnataka. The air was filled with the lingering scent of saltwater and the promise of new beginnings. My friends and I—Shona and Dean from the UK, whom I met in Goa, along with Nagi, my dear friend—were lounging on a long cushion bed under the cool shade of a traditional village-style hut.
We had gathered there to spend some good time. However, The closure of my previous studio partnership had left me at a crossroads, but the serene beauty of Hampi provided the perfect backdrop for inspiration. As we settled in, sipping on fresh lemonade and letting the day's adventures soak into our souls, the conversation turned to the name of our new project. It was a moment suspended in time. Dean was recounting a hilarious tale from our moments spent when, suddenly, Shona interjected with an idea. "How about Squid Ink?" She said, almost as if the thought had been bubbling beneath the surface all along, waiting for the perfect moment to emerge.
We all paused, letting the name hang in the air. It was perfect. Squid Ink captured the essence of creativity, adaptability, and the mysterious depths of the ocean we all loved. It spoke to the fluid nature of art and the dark, rich ink that symbolizes limitless potential. Within a fraction of a second, the decision was unanimous. Squid Ink it was. The name encapsulated our journey, our friendship, and the new chapter we were about to embark upon. As the sun set behind the ancient ruins of Hampi, casting a golden glow over everything, we toasted to Squid Ink, feeling the excitement of the future course through us.
